Now I call this 'la fiesta'! wow, you can almost feel its taste and flavour! Marc, great colours chosen (Black, gold, brown). I only ask myself is some water dews on the glass would make this image even yummier. Excellent taste, Marc!

Marc, good shot. The ice cream, glass and scoop all have an nice sense of harmony. I like the ice cream container outside the dof, but I think my personal preference would for ice cream contain to be a little further back for there to be clear space between the contianer and glass. Excellent lighting on the ice cream.
Richard.
Yes, good idea to (try to) keep the props for a little while, just in case. ;^) Nice effort Marc. Very clean and professional, not to mention it's making my mouth water and think about one of my choc shot ideas that is looking large. I like the understated scoop to leave the galss of ice-cream and bucket as the more important elements in your composition. The diagonal composition of those two elements with the focus on the front one balances things nicely and leaves no doubt about your subject. The negative space serves to aviod any other distraction and adds to the crispness of the result. Nicely done.

Bob,
Thanks, Good catch. The container was on a small platform to raise it up. I was shooting slightly down onto the ice cream but the container was higher and more straight on.
If I have a chance I'll try and reshoot to correct. In theory, the glass with the ice cream in it is still in the freezer at home. Hopefully it'll still be there if I get to reshoot. lol

Hi Marc -
I like the nice clean lines of the glass and the velvety texture of the ice cream. The negative space and lighting also work well. The one thing that is a bit visually disconcerting (to me) is the straight-on look of the ice cream container. On the one hand, you can see the lower right of the container thru the glass, but the angle seems off - like it should be tilted forward more to be on the same plane as the glass.
