In a rural area like mine there are many small cemetaries with headstones of some early settlers who came from lands abroad. In this resting place that I visited for the first time I found many here were born in Ireland, late in the 18th century & early 19th.

Beautiful! I love old cemetaries and judging from the detail left on this marker, it looks as if you've been spared the acid rain that destroys these monuments in the US.

Great texture on that cross. I guess the old an new worlds have different perspectives on the settlement of Australia, NZ, USA etc. I see a PBase international get together !!!
