Absolutly stunning photograph.
The touch of color, the green and yellow,
so perfect to reflect the sadness of hate
with the symbol
of love and forgiveness.
Words can,t do this image justice.

A very sad tribute. Senseless violence is becoming commonplace. It is very sad.

A sad but well conceived tribute. Consider sending this to Don Verger for his peace gallery -- you can find it on the first page of the pop. galleries.

So sad. And it also makes me very angry. This indiscrimate killing of innocent people. The lighting and cross are lovely and this is very nice tribute.

Despite the fact that Londerners have done what we do best - carried on, these stories still bring tears to the eye.

A very dramatic message Laine. So many things in the world are broken. There is always hope that they can be fixed thought.

We have to help that cross to stand up!
Jackdad15-Jul-2005 22:30
very poignant photo. i don't know whether you saw the comments on the news by one survivor who described how she had to leave behind people who were screaming in the dark when the tube was evacuated. Umberto Eco says it best: "The devil is the arrogance of the spirit, faith without smile, truth that is never seized by doubt."

This is so beautiful, Laine. This cross lay in its other spot for a lonnngggg time. And the broken bits are very symbolic of the London tragedy.
Robin Reid15-Jul-2005 17:44
Oh, so sad. A fine tribute well photograhed.
petesie15-Jul-2005 17:10
I am so sorry. The broken cross, and crack in the cement say it all. Moving tribute.
