CC is my Alma Mater. I received my liberal arts education here 1955-1959 with a B.A. in history.
Eighteen Reid relatives attended this school. My Dad, ** J. Juan Reid,** was a star athlete, football, basketball, and golf coach, Director of Athletics, Dean of Men, and Director of Alumni Affairs before retiring in 1975. He touched many student lives in very helpful and caring ways.
Today I sat in on a seminar in Palmer Hall on the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution (you know, the one about unwarranted search and seizure) led by my favorite college professor, Bill Hochman.
"YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE" [1] is emblazoned across the front entry to Palmer. With 45 years perspective, I can say with confidence that my education here has served me quite well during my lifetime.
