Nice shot, the color is very nice and the chosen exposure is spot on.

Gotta agree with Mark - all you Fisheye and 10-22 owners are making it tough for us mortals with mere 18 or 24 lenses...

(Ooh, nice shot, BTW!)

Wide angle is challenging us all, trust me. Especially those of us (that would be me) who do not yet OWN a wide angle lens :-) Markjay

I couldn't go wider and deeper b/c of the sink and the back of the countertop. Wide angles are awesome b/c they fit so much in. Wide angles are frustrating b/c they fit so much in! LOKL! As for the looking up idea, I already had that planned for a different subject. Maybe I'll get to shoot it tomorrow. I'm glad you appreciate the colors and reflections. I loved how the tinges of yellow were getting picked up in the subject and so boosted the saturation on them some. Thanks for commenting. :) ~ Lonnit

You have a good idea, Lonnit. I would personally like to see (*) more space on the right and the glass at an extreme corner of the left bottom to accentuate the angle and shape of your subject / object. Why not also experiment with one shot of it from the very bottom of the vessel, looking up? :-) I like the colors and the abstract reflectons on the water. Markjay

This is what I love about the fisheye....it makes everyday objects look special and interesting. And this was exactly what I had in mind when I chose the topic! Creativity!
Good stuff, Lonnit.

Never a bad thing when Iso says, "really good"! :)
Geez, though, man... nailing me on the crop. I virtually never do un-standard ratios. 2:3 is the norm for me. If it's a portrait I might sometimes go for the 8:10 ratio, but that's usually only when it's for someone else, not my personal use. I cut my own mats so I'm happy to keep a 2:3 ratio on my own prints. I couldn't keep the 2:3 ratio on this one b/c the angle ended up looking freaky so I had to rotate a tad. I cropped to a 8:10 and cloned in the missing corners, but the edge of the sink was caught up in the frame and I couldn't clone over it b/c the yellow reflection went over the edge of the white sink and the white looked unbalanced up there in the corner. So , this mere mortal was stuck with this crop - was the best I could do to get the elements into decent postions on the grid.

For such an everyday item you've made it look really good. The colours say cool and refreshing. Very odd crop though. Neither square, real landscape or portrait. Odd dimensions. Would you find a frame to suit it ;) I'd like to see more space on the right with that highlight arera bleeding to the top right corner. But then I would wouldn't I? A good opener for the gallery however you look at it.
