One of the best parts about Nes Gard was the veranda outside of our small apartment, which overlooked Lusterfjorden and had a view of the monster falls Feigumfossen across the way. When we first got to Nes Gard I heard rumbling and kept looking up for an airplane, then realized it was the falls (second highest unregulated falls in Norway).
