Mum has several cabinets and glass show cases of various dimensions
Where she put all her collections, her knickknacks
and all the quantity of items she has found here and there during all her life.
She doesn’t pay attention to material values of items,
for her it’s just a matter of sentimental importance and her personal sense of aesthetics.
Here she keeps a real very ancient and, I suppose, quite precious Etruscan plate
Together with an horrible smiling little Troll, vestige of a remote Christmas party,
an odd, solitary china cup, one of her beloved Limoges figurines and an ebony Buddha.
Once someone, invited for dinner and rather expert of archaeology and art, noticed the Etruscan plate.
He asked to have a look at it and was astonished because recognized it as authentic.
Mum is not sure how she got it; she had a step sister,
who probably gave it to her at least 45 years ago and maybe she had it as her turn by someone…..
“But also my Troll is cute, isn’t it” She claims
