The evening was mostly taken up by exploring more of the square mile. We walked up to the new
stock exchange building before going on towards st barts & Smithfield’s. The reason for the walk
was to go and see the dedication to Sir William Wallace, who was killed very near to this spot. I
had been told in the past that Scottish folk visiting the memorial sometimes left flowers on the spot.
After a bit of tree arranging, so as we could get a fairly clear shot, we walked back over to southbank,
and towards borough market for a couple of drinks before grabbing a bite to eat. After that all
there was to do was to head back to the hotel, and get ready for the trip home tomorrow!
Here’s a couple of extras from today.
