This beautiful old building, Hanford's original Andrew Carnegie Library, is now a museum. The building reflected in its windows is another historic building, the Odd Fellows Hall. Though it was small and cramped, I spent many happy hours during my childhood perusing its stacks. Hanford now has a spacious, modern library that is energy efficient, earthquake proof, and geared to the needs of a much larger population, but like many modern buildings, gives the appearance of having been cut from a giant architechtural cookie cutter. The price of progress, I guess.
Despite the fact that the highlights in the upper left are blown out, I still find myself very drawn to this image and actually preferring it to another with better exposure. I'd be interested in hearing others' opinions of this.
