I was born and grew up in Hanford, a central valley town that has much history and charm that was lost on me in my youth, when I found it an utterly boring and banal place from which I only yearned to escape. No longer viewed by adolescent eyes, I have rediscovered Hanford through those of middle-aged photographer who appreciates the love of beauty evident in the architecture of bygone eras. Hanford has many magnificent old buildings, the crown jewel of which is the county courthouse, which remains in use today. I plan to continue to add images to this gallery in coming months, making my rediscovery of Hanford a photography project this year.
