May 22: Stairway to Heaven

Rancho Bernardo, CA

You’ve seen earlier shots of this bright and attractive woman, Kathy. Today we had breakfast at the RB Inn (that’s right Herb… RB Inn breakfast club [LOL]).

Kathy, an experienced Nikon film person, is planning on moving into digital and we had fun taking a number of shots around the RB Inn.
***Kathy and Robin’s shots at RB Inn ***

The chances are high (ahem) that she will buy a Canon SLR!!! Neener, neener you Nikon users ;0)

Oh, this is the last day of the prime lens non-zoom challenge.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon 50mm f/1.8
1/320s f/5.0 at 50.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Very nice SP Robin, you look great in this one!
I'm glad you're doing your best to win her over to Canon. Stop short of nothing to win this battle! We will support you no matter what you have to do to get another Canon convert.
(Don't tell her my Rebel broke after 4 months.)

It's not fair for you to direct her to the dark side :^)
Pepe Zyman23-May-2005 05:13
Give her my number before she makes a terrible mistake :^)

Smart composition!! And glad that the chances are high, (ahen) about she buying a Canon Digital of course, :-)

Very nice job of the reflections, Robin.

Great composition and reflections... I really like that lens too, also for inside shots, so nice to not have to use the flash... Great shot

The reflection-ness

I like the sharp reflection in her glasses..

@Gary re non-zoom. I learned above all that I like the Canon f1/8 50mm lens. It is versatile. I learned that I have to work harder to get the image I want. The biggest downside for me was feeling too close..and wanting to zoom back out much further.

@ Gary... this is a NON-CROPPED image.

She looks like a nice person - we'l look forward to seeing the shots you took - and where the stairway actually leads to.

Nice image, glad you had such charming companion at your breakfast club.
Canon is the best way to go.
I hope PEPE is not to upset...:)

So, what did you learn from the prime lens non-zoom challenge? And, why would she get a Canon, when she (it would seem) has a variety of Nikon lenses in her collection?

Anyway, I like how you filled the frame with her face. Was there much cropping?

Cool shot (and I don't use the word "cool" often) but that explains this photo. Pretty lady and great reflections.

Great capture of different subs in each lens! Nice looking breakfast club you have there, pard! Go Canon!
