Dragon Slayer

Today I spent some time on U.S. 129. Also known as "The Tail of the Dragon" The name comes from the cut of the mountain pass road that has 318 curves, like you see part of here, in just over 11 miles. This is a very fun road to drive even in a Honda Accord with hard rubber tires that don't grip very well.

This is a VERY popular place for folks with new motorcycles or sports cars to go see what they are made of. Lots of clubs from all over the east coast have organized trips to meet and try to drive "slay the dragon" a regular stop for Miata, Mini, Corvette, and all types of Motorcycle "clubs/gangs"

Chevrolet has even filmed commercials here

This was my first attempt at high shutter speed shooting and paning, with letting the camera's AI Servo doing the tracking and focusing.

Here is a website with more information. http://www.tailofthedragon.com/index.html
