- 7th May 2005 - Flowerflections

Just off into town, but weather iffy so thought a post in the bag is worth 2 later...
or something like that! Need some new glasses so getting the old eyes tested :)

While waiting for Helen to get ready earlier I spotted this shadow. Looked better in
my mind than the final article, but thought it Ok to post (now you see why I need
my eyes testing!)....It was very cloudy so the sun came and went very quickly!

Back now.... Excellent service at Specsavers... now the proud owner of 2 new pairs of glasses :)

Couple of shots around the walls.... (the first is the 8000th image out of the 8800).

And the violinist was paying again. He makes multi-tracks as he goes, dubbing over and over. Very effective, but he looks a bit bored by it all behind the glasses, which strangely took some of the shine off the whole thing for me! Pity as it was good.... I suppose I can understand his feeling, and that explains the glasses? I did drop some cash in the case though....

the bandstand tomorrow afternoon - be there or be square!

I really like this type of shot. I would have cropped tighter, but I like it the way it is as well. I would take some off the top and right side. I really like the flower shadow and just a peek at the flowers in the corner.

Very nice Ian. I would almost try it without the actual flowers showing too. Cindy

Nice catch of the shadow - weather very iffy here today as well!

The later shots look a lot more in focus! :)

Like the shadow with the touch of flowers, I would have also tried a tighter crop

Looks like a big number 1

Like Beverley, I like that you can see a section of the flower in the bottom corner of the image. Oh, and I suppose people will want their picture taking with you now that you've been to Specsavers :-)

New glasses - sounds like a SP to me. I like the reflection.

nice shadow! :-)

Beautiful shadow play. I think you captured this real well. I like pictures that are taken by impulse, this one seems to fit the catagory.

love this, love the tiny bit of colour creeping into the bottom corner, very good comp!

This is a great shadow.

Ian - very interesting shadow and perspective. I like how you've left just a bit of the flowers in the frame - gives the image some texture and color and the shape brings the eye into the frame. Well seen!

Shadows always interest me, I like this a lot too...especially the shadows
cast by the flowers.

I like it a lot. Good idea to include some of the flower in the corner too.
