Just cropped, B&W, contrast. Original is probably better, as my daughter is in the background.

Milagro, in this case refers to a the Mexican tradition of attaching small metal offerings to statues of saints or walls of churches. In this case, you can see them attached to a Ritablo- a piece of hand-crafted religious iconography, in this case a cross. But yes, the word is the same as in the movie. Milagro means 'Miracle'.
If I didn't get my Mexican religious/folk history quite right- someone out there can fill me in. I live in Tucson, so some of the mexican culture wears off on me, but I really don't want to pretend that I know what I'm talking about.
I probablyneed to spend another 15 min on photoshop to sharpen just the cross. Frankly- I'm just thrilled to be able to have a valid entry, while I learn from you true artists out there how it's done right. so much to learn. Thanks for the input.

Hi Morey,
Just curious ; is that the same Milagro as in the 'Milagro bean field war' - a film by/with Robert Redford ?
As far as the pic is concerned : nice contrasts. Maybe lowering the cross would improve the compo. And add a bit USM maybe ? Nevertheless a good entry !
