Stonewall Jackson Shrine at Guinea Station, VA

The actual bed and bedding on which Gen. Stonewall Jackson died May 10, 1863 after being mortally wounded at the Battle of Chancellorsville.
The building to which he was transported for care, the Chandler House, is also known as the Jackson Shrine.
He was buried at Lexington.

Thank you for sharing. Here General Jackson raised his head and, staring off into the distance, said, "Let us cross over the river and rest beneath the shade of the trees." He then expired. Oh that we had had him at Gettysburg two months later, but it wasn't in the cards.
