I am still taking better film images than digital, and my digital post production skills still need LOTS of work, so till I learn better, Velvia will still be near and dear.
This weekend for example, we went to the Biltmore Estate, and even though I took almost 700 images in digital, I still found time to run back to the grounds to blast thru 3 cans of the ol Velvia with my Elan 7NE.
It's odd really that I am still new to digital and just recently returned to photography after a 15 year break (started back last year), I used to do alot in high school) but even though I have only found the richness of Velvia in the last year, couldn't afford it in high school or even know of it, it's odd really how quick a hold it got on me.
Side note: The blur you see here, top center, around the 50 was do to the angle I was holding the lens and because the depth of field in a 1:1 macro shot is so shallow at f/2.8 the fact that can is not flat the small curve of a can of film is great enough to cause this center (which is closer to the lens) to be out of focus.
