This cliff dwelling is at the Tonto National Monument (Rosevelt, AZ)) It was estimated to built about A.D. 1250 by the Salado indians. This structure had 8 rooms. It is about a 30 minute climb up to the dwelling from the parking lot. The path is well pathed, and various desert plant life abounds. This is one of these type buildings that had advantage of being able to pull up a ladder from the entance so that the enemy could not reach the residents.
