A Tribute to Law Enforcement

Metairie, Louisiana

This young man exemplifies everything that is good and decent in the profession. He is a husband and father of three who puts his life on the line everyday. I was his commander for over ten years and watched him progress through the ranks. He is also an Eagle Scout.
This photo honors all men and women who protect our country, be it military, law enforcement or firefighting.

For some reason you'd dropped off my fav list! Got to this via Vernix and his police encounter... This shot is full of character, and timely (April when seen) as they've just erected a monument to all the officers killed in the UK.

Glad I've been able to see this - great shot. When I tried to view it on he day - there was no image. Chris

Nice tribute to those men and women who do this difficult and often dangerous work! Interesting to know your background Coleen. Are you still at it?

Nice tribute. But did a little birdie tell me that it's your birthday? Many happy returns from over here in chilly Dundee.

With all the bad about New Orleans police, it is great to see that we still have some great police officers. Great photo, just watch out for red eye.

It's a very nice well-lighted portrait. I like how his head is angled and his upper body tilted foreward. Very well done.

Nice portrait shot. He does look in command. And a nice tribute as well.

His face tells everything. Well captured.
