Wha-hay, I'm back in the land of PBase. Many thanks to those who enquired where I had got to, it was nice to know I was missed :-) I have been unable to use a camera for a while as I injured 3 fingers on right hand, playing with friends. The bruising has now gone down enough for me to start getting back into things, I have almost got enough mobility back to use all those damn fiddly buttons and dials on the camera! Anyway, I can now use the computer right-handed again - allowing me to play in PS - so I am putting a PS experiment up for my PaD today.
I have the next week off work, so hopefully I will be able to get in some 'finger physio' with the camera.
I decided to play with the channel mixer, to see if I could come up with a pseudo infra-red look, this had been suggested as a possibility in a recent camera mag. I picked a nice sunny shot with plenty of foliage, taken last summer of the bandstand in Liverpool's Sefton Park, desaturated it and played with the channel mixer to try and lighten the foliage and darken the sky. The result was reasonably successfull, but still not very convincing (in my opinion).
All comments will be gratefully received, as I am very interested in viewers opinions. Thanks.
