For this pre-Valentines week, I am planning on capturing individuals who serve us all and deserve our respect, appreciation and even love. There are so many folks who take great care of us, and often we don’t even notice.

This is a tribute to Jamal, admittedly in a stereotypical role. He and I had a great conversation about his life and interests, and that little touch of connection carried me happily aboard my America West flight to Phoenix today.

I am back in “pink” and on the road. Thank you all for your expressions of concern about my health. I must admit that I ate all the chocolates and deposited all the monetary contributions. I did donate all the flowers to a local charity.
