We came second. For the third time, since we've started looking at houses. It was a real blow
when the call came from my solicitor this afternoon. 10 hours later, and we're just starting to
get over it. We missed out by the narrowest of margins too.
But when you look at the size of the winning offer, although we could have matched it, it was a
huge premium against the original price. So much so that it brought the prices in line with new
houses.
So that's what we're going to do. Buy a new house. Probably plot 92. The plan is to head into
the office as soon as they open, so that we're not presented with the same problems all over again.
The plans above the map are the house we're looking at.
Although it does present us with a problem - there is a total of 16 weeks between when we move out,
to moving into the new house. So it looks as though we'll be staying with parents.
Besides, it will give me a couple of PAD's when inspiration is at a low ebb.
Apologies for the lack of comments the last few days, but as you can imagine I've been very busy.
I'll try and catch up with everyone as soon as the dust settles.
Here's the original from today, again playing with shallow DOF, opacity, and gaussian blur.
