Old Train Station

West Virginia

They're replacing this with a new modern building. This isn't a passenger train track so I'm not sure what the point it is except it looks prettier. I cross this grade every day so will try to get a shot of the new one. I prefer old and dilapidated myself. :)

The real shame is not that they are tearing it down and replacing it with a new one. The real shame is that someone did not have the forsight to maintain the building throughout the years.

This will be a Agriculture Museum, the Farm Breau is planning all phases of this.

I look in the mirror each day, so old & dilapidated I know. :>) Love that peeling paint. Makes you want to get there with a scraper and....

I love the blue, white, gray and tan of this, set off by the bits of red on the signal arm. Nice find!

The texture and perspective of the building is eye candy. What a blue sky! Great shot.

What a shame to replace such a structure...

Nice image. Seems they could make something of the building, like a library or dance hall or ... But progress today only means replacing.

Karen, this is wonderful! I like the textures of the old clappboard ... the chipped, weathered paint ... and the textures of the snow. The two go so well together.
