Bristol Colonnade

PORTMEIRION VILLAGE - WALES

Well, another crappy day. My truck had been in for servicing yesterday, so I had to catch a train through to Bootle to pick it up. Just to REALLY make my day, it had been broken into whilst parked in the yard. The thief got away with a laptop, a scanner and several other bits & pieces. To really add insult to injury, the b*****d also nicked my coffee and Pot Noodles !!

I have been tied up sorting out the problem much of the day, organising new equipment etc., so I haven't been able to get a shot today.

I have fallen back on making a modified version of an existing shot, from my Portmeirion gallery, which I have done in an 'oil painting' style. The view shows the Bristol Colonnade with the Chantry (above and left) and Pantheon in the background.

They say bad things come in threes. I REALLY don't want to get up tomorrow !!

I am very interested to know people's opinions on this work, as it is experimental and I can really use the input. I am starting a course on Photoshop at the local college in a couple of weeks, so expect more of this sort of stuff as I learn how to use the features properly.

I love Portmeirion, and I like your PS work here.

Oh bugger! you must really miss the Pot Noodles :-(

Nice colours in the photo-shopping - I am very envious, I'd love to take a course myself!

I like this very much. It has nice balance, the subjects that you've grouped "belong" together, they're all of the same type of tones and the final effect works well.
