SEA WALL

SOUTHPORT

Another grey day, but fortunately only the weather today. If bad things really DO come in threes, the third is biding it's time.

I present another shot in my occasional series on 'Southport - out of season', otherwise known as 'When desperate for a PaD, go and shoot the sea wall'. Originally, I desaturated everything except the lone person to draw attention to them, and the fact that they are the only person there. IN season, of course, this area would be teeming with holidaymakers. I then tried this version, bringing the colour back on the lifebelt, and decided it was better for it.

All comments are welcome, thanks.

I really like this, Graham. And I love selective colouring. The orange lifebelt really adds something to the image.

works for me... very effective.... next time you're down there how about doing something creative with the 'dead man' on the path?

I really like what you have done with the selective colouring, composition is also excellent.

Nicely done - my eyes travel right (and left) up the path before they look at the person!
