I was asked by John Nashce about what I thought of the WASIA hack for the Drebel. Well I never really tried out the ISO 3200 with it. So I thought I would give it a try.
The picture on the left is at ISO 3200, and the one on the right is ISO 3200, but it has been put into the program NEAT IMAGE. As I see what it looks like after, still pretty decent, I think I will have to try it more often.

This is a trophy I got for catching 100 fish in 5 days on a backpacking trip back in 1990. I have since smashed that record while in 1996 I caught 220 fish in 3 days.
That was hiking in the Uinta Mountains.

The left (un-cleaned) image actually looks pretty good, … or at least good enough for web viewing. I see slight noise in the shadow areas, but the brighter areas look good to me. The image to the right looks great, no noise at all. If the left unprocessed image looks this well at 3200 ISO, then I think I might go ahead and grab the hack. After all, it allows some cool custom controls over external flashes that may come in handy. Thanks Wes!
