Yes, the full size image is sharper - up to the point where the rings start to merge together. So sharp, in fact, that you can see the individual dust particles on the inside of the rings. :) I'll try to post a 100% crop later tonight.

I still have the impression that it could be sharper. But that might also be due to the resizing / compression. Doesn't the full size version look better ?

This version is indeed much better.

Much better with the clearer focus. Just my opinion, but the circles seem to be overpowered by the background. I was going to suggest maybe a tighter crop, but I think that rotating 90' clockwise also brings emphasis to the subject. Just a thought. cbses

Retook the shot. Same settings, but better support this time, and got rid of the wall behind the stove that was in the upper left corner. Bea

Yes, I handheld it. My excuse - it was 2 am and I didn't feel like running back upstairs for the tripod. :( On second thought, as close as I was to the floor, probably could have used the floor for support and zoomed in a little more. If I get time this week, will try again. Thanks for your comments.

Did you take this image handheld? The image seems to be a little out-of-focus, which is probably due to camera shake (AS is not really useful for 1 second shots...). I think I would have used a higher ISO and noise reduction during postprocessing.
