Athearn almost-RTR-to-me SD50s.. As with the prototype, they just need a little more DRGW-ification before entering service.

Note: EMD delivered the DRGW SD50s to the Rio Grande pretty much just as you see them in the model of 5507 above.. no gyralites, and a differently arranged 5-chime horn cluster with all bells forward - just like what Athearn supplied! However, before they entered service, Mid-America Car Co of Kansas City was contracted to install the DRGW-specific appliances such as the nose-mounted gyralite, reconfigured five-chime airhorn cluster and whatnot.

Notched out the anticlimber on both ends to add a:
Details West #249 MU junction box with hose

Detail Associates #2212 Coupler Lift Bars
and more MU hoses yet to come..
