Rod & Lonnet--Just goes to show ya---you can't judge a man by his "Shu's!" LOL (Shirley)
Rod 19-Dec-2004 07:06
Old Jewish grandma indeed, Shu looks lovely & she takes photos as good as us men:-)

Shu??? Man this is just unbearable. I thought you were a man until the shot of your husband, which I actually thought was your gay partner. I found out then that you were a woman. At that point I had you pegged for a nice Jewish grandma, a bit squat and round, pretty much peasant stock build. ;) Then you put up all the X-mas decorations and I said to myself, "Shirly Miller isn't Jewish????", so I once again had to reorganize my image of you. Now I see your picture and I've got to say my brain is in chaos trying to cope with all the new data! LOL! You're not the least bit what I pictured. And so, I guess this is how 50 year old pervs pass themself off as 13 yr olds in chat rooms and lure the kids in to meet. Ok, so at least one piece of info is correct here.... you are a grandmother. Phew! Something to hang my hat on! LOL! Funny how the imagination works.

Nice to finally meet you! LOL! ~ Lonnit

BTW, do you think you had the last word on the "pink framing?" You can always enter this again since it is so appealing. Shu

Of course it's a bleeding shelf Lonnit but through superb camera work it now acts as a frame........Brilliant
Rod 19-Dec-2004 00:41
Hang on Shu, if you're a woman then who's Tina?:-)

Ok, I too saw the pink rack and figured you'd try to pass that off as a frame, but it's not really framey enough to qualify as a frame. It's a shelf dude! I think the deal with the challenge was that the frames were supposed to be looked thru, not surrounding or behind. I believe that is the actual technical definition of "framing" in the photographic sense, from what I've read. I'd say your shelf is a compositional element but not a frame. I like the shot though and the wife's idea! :) ~ LOnnit

Yeah, but Shu's a woman!! (It's ok, Rod, I've been taken for a man before.) I still love this shot! Shu The Woman (LOL)
Rod 18-Dec-2004 09:05
That is me artistic shot, & the very subtle frame is the thing the boot is sitting on. Gawd I shouldn't have to explain art!!!! Shu got it straight away as he's an artisssst like me:-)
Canon DSLR Challenge18-Dec-2004 04:11
I forgot to mention it's a pretty darned good image!!! It just strikes my fancy. Shu
Canon DSLR Challenge18-Dec-2004 04:09
I think he has a pink frame, Lonnet! Yup! Pink IS the frame.......???? Shu
Canon DSLR Challenge18-Dec-2004 03:25
Ok Rod, I know you're totally against frames, but when the challenge is "Framing", you've got to frame! LOL! ;) Where is the frame? ~ Lonnit
