The tower at Kildavnet is believed to have been constructed by the Clan O'Malley in about 1429. It sits on the shore of Achill Sound at the southeast corner of Achill Island, County Mayo. Corraun Hill on the Corraun Peninsula is in the background across the sound. The Achill Island Lifeboat is moored in the sound.
