The silhouetted one lookes more "graphic" but I like the real life look better (without the pole, though the pole isn't such a problem for me). Would vote for the silhouetted one in the PhotoGRAPHIC challenge though. :) Tomas

I commented too quickly I didn't realise you could post picys in the text area:-)
I like the second one best, full silhouette & no pole as the tower now dominates the shot & looks quite majestic. I wonder what the other posters would like better.

I think I would just silhouette first as this may make the pole more relevant to the shot.

So what do you think? First without the pole, and then without the pole plus silhouetting the bottom:
The steel is painted red. I was torn about that bit sticking up bottom left of the tower. I'd really considered cloning it out. I elected not to because of the fact that the tower is a landmark. If it had been any ride at a working amusement park you can bet your butt it would have been cloned out without a moment's hesitation. I just felt uncomfortable about doing that in this instance. It would have felt like a lie - kind of like altering history. Now, for all I know, that could be a cell phone tower that was installed last month! LOL! But, in not knowing, unless I go back to the scene to confirm what it is, I feel it's in the name of honesty that I have to leave it. Funny, but I've not really felt that before. Interesting. Thanks for your comments. :) ~ Lonnit.

I love the colour in this shot, the steel seems to have a bronze colour. The only thing I'm not sure about is the bottom foreground, or it might be that bit sticking up bottom left of the tower. Nice shot Lonnit.
