8:14 AM

8:14 AM. As the moon continued to set over the Sierras the clouds became increasingly more interesting. I first pulled out my 70-200L zoom to compose a tight shot of the Sierras and the moon. Discovering that I was zoomed in at 80mm, I instead switched to my 85mm f/1.8 lens, which is among the sharpest I own. It is always good to bring your best glass to bear on whatever shot you take...it is worth the time spent changing lenses. I kicked up the contrast and saturation on this shot just a bit to bring a little more 'life' into it. 1/350 sec, f/13.
