Much photographed so it is hard to be original here. However clearly a photographers dream the Brighton bathing boxes appeared in the late 1800's on Brighton beach, a suburb to the south of Melbourne. In December 2003 one of them as sold at an auction on the beach for 150 thousand A$ ! When I was there it was early in the morning so the good light hit them from the back. I took this one with my 1.5 year old son roaming around. I flipped the image so for people used to looking at them from the front it is just like the bathing boxes turned around. In addition I like the perspective better decreasing in size going from left to right.
