Ropsten

A typical example of the uglieness of 1965-1975, when most architects seemed to pick their inspiration from the suburbs of Moscow and Eastern Berlin. When the Stockholm tram system was closed and torn up in 1967, Lidingöbanan was cut in Ropsten. The arrangement on the picture connects the LiB platforms with the Stockholm Underground, which platforms are seen in the background

The station clock reading is apparently invalid, as the time of the shot was 16.21...

Alla husen på den tiden byggdes just så. Oavsett om det var i Minsk eller Malmö.

Apropå plattformarna så är den i bakgrunden medvetet byggd på ett högre plan för att möjliggöra expansionen av t-banenätet till Lidingö vilken skulle ha gått på en egen bro.
