Sorry for the large number of snapshots. I've been short on creativity lately (or time?). Well, anyway, the photo is not great but the subjects sure mean a lot to me (and no, I don't mean the sushi).
This snapshot was taken at Haru in South Orange, NJ. We are rather fond of this place. The spicy tuna is the best I've had and the unagi is always delicious. And guess what...they have a great all-you-can-eat deal. We've been visiting Haru since the beginning of residency training and now that we have moved farther away, it is on rare occasion that we visit. This dinner was sort of a reunion. This is our good friend, Pete. He now lives even farther away from Haru than Alice and Me. He was in the area so of course we grabbed a bite (or many thousands of bites that all-you-can-eat allows).
I've noticed that sushi is sort of a pedal-note for many many of my photos. I've been thinking of symbols and I realized that sushi has become somewhat of a celebration. Because of the cost, it is definitely a treat and not day-to-day fare. It is reserved for special occasions and moments.
It is definitely a celebration...usually a celebration of FRIENDSHIP which should be savored even more so than the sushi.
