Carnegie Museum of Natural History

I had the day off today but I was called into work as they needed a photo taken and our regular staff photographer was unavailable. The shoot was pretty straight forward. It’s for part of an exhibit we are developing that will illustrate the early horse cultures of Eurasia. There will be one interactive where a use will be able to select design patterns of prehistoric dresses and they will appear over laid on this photo. So, I set up the lights to highlight the dress and not the person while trying to still light the model well. I also wanted a non-distraction background as well. I ended up also having the model stand on one of the pedestals that will be used in the actual exhibit to help tie it all together. So while it’s not very “artistic,” it’s a functional photo.
