Interstate Coffee Co.

Natchez, MS

The Interstate Coffee Co. in Natchez, MS went out of business many, many years ago but the building is still painted with their slogan. They sold Alcafe Coffee and Double Eagle Coffee...both pure coffee and coffee with chicory.

Even living in this area all my life, I've never developed a taste for coffee with chicory...way too bitter for me. Nothing like the aroma of fresh brewed coffee, though. :)

I love these old painted on signs, they seem so much more original than the corporate sameness that we currently have in the world. Very cool shot, and yes, hmmm, hmmm, coffee is sooooooo good!

Great capture. I love old advertising signage, especially painted on the side of buildings. Get 'em before they dissappear!

I still drink my coffee with chicory, even though it's almost imposible to find in grocery stores out here.
