These moments are all too easy to miss (wrong position, she falls just as you take it etc) but I do feel that the ropes 'off' her shoulders and the head just creeping into shot take something away from the overall well seen and captured shot.

Richard,

Good take on the theme. At first i thought the "ropes" on the back wall were safety ropes, but obviously, they're on the climbing wall. One can feel her concentration.

Hi guys, thank you for your comments. The current version of the shot is a closer crop than the original - Claudio, thanks for the suggestion!
Richard.

Good take on the theme, and a nice image. Looks pretty difficult.

I enjoy looking at this picture---maybe because there's a person in it and most challenge pics don't. The back wall is what drew my attention first though...thought they were balloons that had deflated. Enjoyable photo.

Very nice Richard! Those two ropes in the background fooled me completely.

Veronica, Smatty, thank you for your comments. The balance beam is more difficult than it look, she (my daughter) as fallen off many times, once resulting in broken tooth. The ropes at the back are on the climbing wall, although it does look like she is being held up by them.
Richard.

On the beam is as close to being on the edge as you can get. I wouldn't want to trade places with her either. You've enforced the "on the edge" with the look of concentration on her face. Nicely done.

Good eye for this challenge on this picture. One cool illusion is, that it actually looks like she has 2 safety strings holding her on her shoulders. I had to look a few times :)
