Lovely and slightly unusual shot of a rose. Well lit and PPed (at least to my eye) to soften some of the edges of the petals.

It is the sort of image that could grace a hallway entrance to welcome you home.

Linda - This is a nice image - but in my opinion the edges are not the "grabber" they could be. Perhaps a strong side light or a lower camera angle would give it a little more snap. Jack G.

Hi Linda,
Very nice image with such vivid colours and all those edges! Possibly, find a focal point and shawdow out other areas, and strenghten the edges more may help emphasize the image even further. Just a suggestion.

God photograph of a beautiful flower. Nice colors and sharpness, but IMHO it lacks that difficult-to-define-thing that catches the interest and holds it, like some unexpected eye-catching detail, dramatic shadows, striking perspective or composition.
