Alain,

I must admit, I had no idea what it (originally) was until I saw the original image. At first I thought it a glass table. Great job!

I love this so much. Every time I see one of these high key images I try to do something similar, but am never successful. Perhaps it's the original image I start with. You did a really fantastic job.

Hi Smatty,

Nothing wrong with your monitor. This is just the way I wanted it to be : sort of high key. The fact that only the top edge of the knife is visible is part of the graphical setup and augments the tension IMHO -- but now I'm beginning to comment my own image...;-)

Thanks everyone for the kind words, I'm very happy you like it.

Very artistic approach. Knives really go well with "edge" challenges. There is only one thing that I don't like so much about this picture. A part of the knives edge just dissapeared into white. Now one can only guess the shape of the whole knive. But it could also be, that my monitor is to bright, and therefore I don't see it...

Neat abstract! Couldn't figure out what the original subject was. Thank goodness you posted it. I would not have never ever guessed.

I was really drawn into this image and spent a long time trying to see what it was - I like that kind of involvement. Jack G

Pure Alain! Great graphical impact.... and I'm even more impressed when I saw the original (a double edge here!) . Very nice

Interesting interpretation -- the mix of strong colour and contrast with pale shading works well.

Hi Alain,
Very nice image with such strong contrasts. I still could not work out the origin of picture. This is intriguing.

I often wonder about 'the boundery between pure graphics and photography' too. Maybe it is simply an evolution a field with its own name that will not put such work in either of those two conventional areas.
Cheers

Very nice Alain, though I cannot quite make out what it is. As you know, I like abstracts, and this one is no exception.
