The Moon

Rancho Bernardo, CA

Finally, I did it! I slapped my 2x extender onto my 70-200 L lens. Grabbed my tripod, upped my ISO, and did several shots of the Moon.
The setting that worked best was f/11 @1/180th with 400 ISO.

I know this is just a follow on to the quickie I posted the other day, but I feel great that I finally put “Big Bertha” to good use and got a decent shot.

Saturday it was someone’s toes, today the moon, who knows what Tuesday will bring!?

Week 17

Canon EOS 10D ,Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
f/11 @ 1/180th. ISO 400. 400 mm w/2x extender.
RAW mode at 280 dpi. Neat image applied only to black parts. full exif

Well done Robin - will cost me some money though, you just convinced me of investing in that extender I've been dreaming of for some time :-)

What a difference between the 2-not only the range (to be expected) but also the clarity and detail. Really like the small craters at the bottom-can see a little depth to them. Can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings :)
