Not much to report, except KRIS IS FINALLY HOME ON LEAVE!!!!!

Yes, after much waiting around, and a few more gray hairs, Kris arrived home at about 2:15pm, this afternoon. His trip consisted of 6 legs: Camp Cooke to Baghdad (more in a little bit); Baghdad to Kuwait; Kuwait to Budapest; Budapest to Bangor Maine; Bangor to Dallas, Texas; Dallas to Portland. Whew!!! We hadn't heard from him in quite a few days since the final confirmation of his leave. We were almost convinced that his leave had been cancelled when we saw a couple of soldiers on the news, from Kris' unit, arriving at the Portland Airport…without Kris. But at 1:30am the next morning, Kris called to tell us that he was in Maine, waiting to get on the plane for the next leg of the trip. He called again, at about 8:15am, to say that he was in Dallas, and he'd be home in just a few hours. Needless to say, everything kicked into high gear around the house.

It sure is great to see him. What else can I say. He's had lots of sun, and seemed fairly well rested, probably from sleeping on the planes.

We're throwing an early 4th of July / Andy Birthday / Welcome Home party on the 26th. I'll be sure to post lots of pictures from that little blow-out.

A very relieved Stuart & Linda
