In his early 30s, Yucel Atik, a college grad in tourism/economics with more than 10 years in the field, has guided the Saudi prince, worked for the US embassy. In order to wear the badge issued by the Turkish minitries of culture and tourism, a tourguide must spend an extra year studying the history of Turkey. When the tourism season is low, most tourguides would head back to the classroom for additional training and learn information on new escavations throughout the country.
