Yes, it was. And dang, that was quite the sentry post. It was impossible for me to approach and set up behind a prev. situated blind if one of the parents were in the upper nest. This was on an unsuccessful attempt, for which the parents took off to some trees on the other side of the pond. After being still in the blind for about 20 minutes, this parent returned, and minutes later the other then followed.
