Hi Bobby,
No problem. Date/camera are much preferred in the exhibition gallery, but not essential like in the comp gallery. BTW, I was joking about the pins. I don't think it lessens the image. Your pic here even suggests that your red hot bowler can pick out a single target with precision, so that works for me as well.
Cheers, John

Thanks, Tim! The good thing about this particular "house" is that it's well-lit. Not many bowling alleys are, but even though I shot at ISO800, it all worked out very well.

Great dynamic shot and lovely tonal range. Only very very mildly let down by the missing pins! Tim A

John,

Sorry about not putting in the date/cam info when I uploaded. My first time in the Challenge and I didn't fully read the rules. I promise to do better next time. :-)

I agree with you, John. I had thought about that also after I uploaded the shot. I actually thought some time ago to enter this image in the "Alone" challenge (representing the 4-pin). I kinda feel like I am the 4-pin sometimes, you know. ;-) I had a shot of him bowling with a full rack, but I had used a shutter speed that fully stopped the motion, and I thought it best to leave a bit in his hands and trailing foot. Oh well, sometimes you do, and sometimes you don't, eh? :-)

Hi Rommaker,
Red hot indeed. I love your pic with its composition and leadingme through the ball to where it is going. There should be more action shots. My only observation is that if your subject is so red hot, shouldn't he be bowling for a strike on 10 pins rather than having to clean up the one he left behind from his last attempt? ;o)
Cheers, John
