...this burrowing owl is standing watch on the nest which
is located next to a city recreation complex...the nest is
constructed where the earth slopes, in this case it's right
next to the parking lot entrance...burrowing owls are fairly
adapted to humans here in Cape Coral...they moved here when
the land was clear cut to dredge canals so all the boating nuts
can live "on water"....
