And here we are at the bottom of the Trebbia river, a river and the ominous valley where I spend lot of time in my Piacenza years. Trebbia is an affluent of the Po river (like most of the other rivers in northern Italy) and this is the railway bridge close to San Nicolo. In the summer the river slows down to a trickle at this bridge, but here you can see the effect of the abundant rain
