As we follow the Trebbia river upstream, we encounter the first gentle hills. The so called "colline Piacentine". Agriculture is still the main activity on the hills. Many farms also produce wine. The most popular wines produced are a bubbly red called Gotturnio and a bubbly white called Ortrugo.
