After I came out of the cinema when Troy was finished, it became unusually dark and omnious. The looming clouds in the west were growing bigger. Suddenly I felt I was in another time of the year, another place of the world.

The young tree reminds me the movie 'Wild Reeds" (1995, French, by Andre Techine). The title comes from La Fontaine's fable about the reed that bends with every breeze versus the unbending oak that is toppled during a storm.

This shot is a homage to my favorite movie.
