Toms

My supper tonight is a few of these posh tomatoes, you know the one's that come attached to a "GREEN TWIG" like the one that can be seen by "CLICKING HERE" Unfortunately these were found lurking on the shelf at Safeway in a little black plastic box covered in cellophane and not freshly picked from a truss in the greenhouse. However even after they've been washed and drained in the "COLANDAR" they do still retain that just picked smell!

Hmmm I think they will be fine with a couple of pickled onions and some freshly made crusty bread not forgetting a beer or two!

Sumptous!
Actually, you talking about not fresh from the greenhouse and all that, has reminded me of a visit we paid to a supermarket when we were staying with friends in Oregon. This supermarket's veg shelves were regularly sprayed with fine droplets of cool water to keep them fresh and lush, and therefore more sellable! If only British supermarkets would do the same...?!

Ohh yummy! Nice composition and color and damn nice subject - one of my favorite foods. This reminds me that I'll be off and running - searching for a good fresh real non-hothouse tomatoe this summer.

Sorry. i cannot grow them.. i'm useless with dirt

WOW fantastic image!!! The colors are so rich and the lighting is perfect. I too unknowingly used a tomato for my pad today also, but looks like I could learn a thing or two from you :)

I wouldn't mind a few of these with some bacon, lettuce...mayo...on that fresh bread...

Must you post food shots when I'm stuck at my desk!?
