Macro

Now that's a macro! I bet you didn't think spiders had tongues. Well, lookie here!

Okay...not really a macro shot. Just the top of one of those "bouncing houses" that kids absolutely love. My brother recently asked, "Why do children enjoy jumping on plastic?" I don't know what it is about the plastic - today, there were several bumped heads, one shoe lost in the pool, a towel tossed in the pool after the jumping got a little wild, two children dragged off by their parents ("You're done, both of you! Say bye to the Spider!")...it was a rough afternoon at our community pool!

LOL! This is a pretty scary bouncy toy. I can imagine my son's face if confronted by this!

Sounds like everyone had fun (?) Gee, and I always thought it would be great fun jumping around in there. Maybe not. Love the spider face!

Nice shot with beautiful colors.

Both reasons sound plausible - the venting of hostility (a pre-mosh-pit...don't ask me how to spell "mosh") and the love of bouncing. And btw, Jypsee, the inside of those things are disgusting! LOL

It's probably the feeling of exhilaration that they get as they become momentarily weightless. BTW, have you ever smelled the inside of one of those things??? P-U!!

it's an acceptable outlet for hostility . .and they witness so much of it everyday

Children are just macros of humanity ... it's a good thing they don't have guns and armys ... well some of them don't ...
